SilverSneakers provides fitness memberships and access to classes designed specifically for older adults at no additional cost when you have a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska Medicare Advantage plan. With access to thousands of fitness locations nationwide, you can take advantage of this fitness benefit when you are at home or traveling.
Interoperability - Member Access
Interoperability is a new federal rule from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), designed to give greater access and transparency across healthcare systems. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska (BCBSNE) Medicare Advantage members who would like electronic access to their medical records, such as claims information, can now set up an account through a CMS-certified third-party application. By setting up an account, you give permission for BCBSNE to share claims and health information with the verified vendor. The intention is to create more access and transparency to health information exchanged between insurers, doctors and members. Over-the-counter (OTC) allowance
As a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska Medicare Advantage member you now have access to a benefit that helps cover over-the-counter medications and healthy products. Your OTC benefit covers things such as vitamins, pain relievers, cold remedies and more.
Dental Reimbursement
Members of a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska Medicare Advantage plan are eligible for dental costs to be reimbursed up to a specific amount. This reimbursement can be used for both preventative and comprehensive services. You can see any dental provider you like.
